Devaniya an authentic school of Kathak Dance in Chennai staged Love Songs of a Gypsy Spirit. It is the story of the mystic queen Mira Bai, whose entire life was spent in love and devotion for Krishna. With the dialogues and narration in English, and the songs of Mira in Hindi, this beautiful love story set in the era of a war-torn India. The performance was held to raise funds for education of the children of economically backward sections of society.
Jigyasa Giri, Founder of Devaniya said “My intention is to donate a large portion of the proceeds from this show and from future shows to Satya Surabhi Trust.”
