The children have cleaned some Heritage sites such as; Mariamman temple in Attuvampatti, Villpatti village and Kotai Teru which is a 100 year old settlement for the Dalit community. They have continuously been clearing the debris that is mainly plastic items. The children conducted hygiene awareness programs for the villagers and have educated them on using dustbins and dumpsters for placing the waste. Children have also been segregating the waste and make use of composting techniques. The outcome of their hard work and awareness programme conducted was in winning a Swachh Bharat Award given by the Government of Tamil Nadu.
